The wind is blowing strong outside my window. It’s fascinating. The Wind is an unseen force in creation.

We think we see the wind, but really we only see the effects. Trees swaying back and forth, leaves blowing on the ground, or hair being wind-swept. We certainly can hear it. It howls loudly and when it’s really strong it sounds like a locomotive.

The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails. …William Arthur Ward

We cannot change its direction. It can be hard to walk against or even pushed along. Rain can be driven in our face. Your hat can fly off your head. Our car can be “snowed” in during a winter storm. So many effects and yet we cannot see it.

For something we cannot see it truly is amazing. So on a day like today, I am left saying “Let the wind blow.”
