I must admit TED talks are a little addictive, but too much of a good thing wears thin quickly. Having said that I recently watched one that I have to share as it made me stop and think.
Joe Smith shows us the benefits of using only one paper towel to dry our hands and how much paper that will save in a year.
I started to use this immediately and sure enough, Joe is right. It works every time no matter what paper towel I am using. This simple little trick has been amazing.
So this talk also made me think of how we perform daily tasks. Simple as they are, and there may be nothing wrong with what we are doing. Sometimes all it takes is a different perspective to show us that there is a better way to perform that task.
Thanks, Joe. I need to be more open to other views and perspectives. This includes the mundane things in life. You never know the impact.
