Fit As A Fiddle

Yesterday I talked about getting older and how it’s not a bad thing. I also mentioned that today was the date of my annual physical. Of course, no one really enjoys this annual ritual.

After 45 minutes of more talk than poking and prodding it was all over. Blood work was good, blood pressure normal and cancer screening was negative. All was good. All the anxiety leading up to today was for nought.

For a 50-year-old male, I am fit as a fiddle. I am very thankful for this and do not take it for granted. A few years back I was not in a good space, but with some changes and great support, I’ve turned it around.

Here’s to the next 50 years.
