Who doesn’t like good satire? Even more being a Christian, one find good Christian satire. Well look no further there is a site dedicated to it called The Babylon Bee.
There are a few people in my life who I consider mentors. And for many years I have also played a mentor role to several individuals.
This past Friday I received a personal online message from someone I’ve been following on and off for a few years.
The wind is blowing strong outside my window. It’s fascinating. The Wind is an unseen force in creation.
For many years I have been a big fan of the rock group Switchfoot. The lead singer Jon Forman is lyrically brilliant and the band never seemed to be overtly “Christian”. Recently I came across this piece from Jon where he answers this question – “Is Switchfoot a Christian band?”
I’ve been blessed and always had access to a job. When I was 10 years old I started working full time in the summers. It was a family run business and I was making .10cents an hour. I remember when I go my first raise to .15cents – I was rolling in the money.
Today was a very satisfying day emotionally for me. It started with anticipation, which soon turned into some anxiety and fear. It ended in elation.
