For the last few months, I’ve been reading Tim Ferriss’ book Tools Of Titans. A little while back I wrote a piece about it. Three months later I am two chapters away from being complete.

I tend to read two to three books at a time. What I really liked about this book is the chapters are short and make for quick reading. Now while the reading may be quick the digestion of the material requires time.

You see each chapter is a summary of one of Tim’s podcasts. It basically gives you the highlights of what he and his guest touched on. Now saying highlights seems to not give it justice. Most of the chapters leave you with things that can be thought about for days or even longer.

But like anything too much of a good thing grows old after a time. I have found that there is just too much to digest and soon all the “great stuff” becomes blurry. There is just too much to think on and focus becomes hard.

Now that the end is in sight I think putting the book away for a time will be good. However, I do think it would be a great to pick up in the future to reference and do some heavier thinking. I can go back to chapters that I really liked and dwell on them for a time.

So as my kids used to say in the car on a long trip – are we there yet. Yes, I am almost there and really glad to be done with it for now.
